This scheme has been established to provide funding for places of worship and associated faith community centres that are vulnerable to hate crime. It’s incredibly unfortunate that there is a need for such a scheme to exist, but the Government is setting out to reduce:
- The risk of a hate crime happening
- The impact of such a crime on the building and people attending the place of worship
What types of measures can be applied for?
- CCTV
- Secure fencing
- Intruder alarms
Places of worship and associated faith community centres can apply for up to 3 protective security measures. The application process is open from 19th May – 14th July 2022 – no applications will be considered after this date.
